What We Believe/Core Values
We believe that children belong ONLY to God, the Father. They are HIS children. He created them. He loves them. He has a plan for their life. That includes giving them an earthly father and a mother to steward them, to protect them, guide them, provide for them, pray for them, and pray with them.
We believe that God’s Word, the Holy Bible is inerrant and the truth. It is the foundation of a Christian education. We do not compromise on the premises contained in it, regardless of changes or pressures in culture and government. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Word, who summed up the commandments in one: “Love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, mind, soul and strength, and your neighbor as yourself.” This means that we do not condone lifestyles that are contrary to God’s Word. Nor do we condemn any of God’s children. Christ teaches us to forgive as we have been forgiven.
God, alone judges. We love ALL of His children, but this does not mean we approve of all behavior. Nor do we acquiesce to agendas that threaten to steal the identity of God’s children.
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the Helper we need to help us in all we do. Like air, like breath, He lives in and around us all the time. The term Holy Spirit in Greek — “Holy Pneuma” (same root word as “pneumonia”) is translated as “Holy Breath”. He is always a breath away. He is a person. He lives. He will walk with you as much as you like.
Who We Are
HIS Schools is a free resource for anyone who wants to find a way to provide an affordable school within a matter of weeks. We recognize that there are no two families alike in terms of schedules, finances, support systems, etc., not to mention the myriad variations when it comes to the Christian faith, educational methodologies, and learning needs. We do not believe there is only one absolute way to structure HIS School for your child and the families with whom you are gathered. We do not believe there is only one absolute perfect emphasis on interpretation of the Holy Spirit. But we DO encourage you to take into consideration Christ’s message to the churches in Revelation 2 and 3, where He exhorted them to be filled with love for others, as well as passion for God, and also be faithful to the doctrines provided in the epistles.
These Biblical positions are the basis for vetting the varied curricula included in the resources. Bible courses are provided in such a way as to help guide you to where your family falls on the Christian faith continuum. But, we ONLY INCLUDE Biblical courses that align with HIS doctrine as outlined in the Epistles.
We are Mothers, Fathers, Grandparents, and Educators; Who are also Warriors for His Children
HIS Schools is an assignment that was given on June 27, 2023 to Dr. Sheila Schuller Coleman. Sheila today, identifies as a “retired volunteer” whom God has raised up to launch this plan to help rescue HIS children from public schools. She has her doctorate in Educational Administration and Leadership (K-12) from the University of California, Irvine. Before retiring, she spent 19 years in education as a public school teacher, as well as a private Christian school principal and superintendent.
God has given her a burning heart for HIS children. And so, while enjoying her retirement, on June of 2022, the Lord assigned her a writing project — “The Heart of a Warrior: Delivering the Children of the World for Christ.” The book was published three months later, royalty-free. Its purpose was to launch an international prayer movement. Today, it is available in English, Spanish, and Swahili, and people all over the world are now praying for the children!
Then, the Lord gave her this new assignment — to launch a national movement to rescue HIS children from public schools, by encouraging and supporting parents to provide affordable, even free, Christian schools meeting in churches.
Sheila brings her experience in multiple education settings + praying deliverance for HIS children to this assignment. She has seen first-hand the attacks and schemes of the enemy. She has mentored a strong team of prayer warriors who assisted in this assignment to launch HIS Schools.
It is based on a year of praying for HIS children that she has written the following important warning:
“Today, there are forces (spirits) who do not want your child to know they are HIS beloved, precious child! This is their ONE, TRUE identity. They are HIS! Providing a school, whether private, home, or hybrid is NOT enough. The enemy can and does sneak into Christian schools of all types. Too many students who have been homeschooled, or gone through excellent Christian schools have been attacked by the enemy. Too many schools have inadvertently neglected praying protection over their school and their students, HIS children.”
Knowing this, we CANNOT EMPHASIZE ENOUGH the importance of learning to pray protection over your school and children. It is easy and vital! “The Heart of a Warrior” includes a Prayer Guide — prayers that can be prayed, read straight from the book, as well as a “study guide” (free on the Heart of a Warrior website) that can provide a template for teams of parents to pray protection over the school and HIS children.

Many churches have Sunday School classrooms sitting empty all week. There is a one page “Grab & Go” in the Tips and Tools page that you can download and give to pastors to help you find your free place. It is an easy tool to help you recruit a place, if you need it

You’ll be surprised at the number of fellow families, grandparents, and retired teachers who will join your team. You cannot fail because God will provide everything you need!
